SPIRO NO! That is a terrible attitude to have about fuel prices! When a barrel gets sold to Exxon in Saudi Arabia it costs $13, somewhere in between there and the refinery it goes up to $250? You are OK with that? There is gauging going on at EVERY level! I guess other countries have been paying LOTS for gas for a long time, but in the US, we haven't been over $2.00 until the last couple of years for a gallon! Right now in the US of the 34 refinery's (non new in 30 years, explain that one) 12 of them are not up and running due to maintence issues. If they were up and running we'd be at $1.90/gallon. The government at this point needs to step in and either help, being that this can be considered a crisis, or put their thumbs on the companies to get fixed NOW!
There is more oil sitting in Alaska than in the entire middle east. There is more Oil from Shale sitting in Wyoming than the entire earth would need for the next 300 years. WHY ARE WE NOT USING IT? W
BOTTOM LINE: We need to keep asking questions, and complaining, if anything is going to change!
