The carbs on those things are only slightly larger than a model airplane motor I swear. As a result, if you add too much oil to the gas, it's like you added a quart too much. Do youself a favor and pick up a RatioRite measuring cup.
You can find them in motorcycle stores or catalogs like say Dennis Kirk. Or google it so you can at least see what one looks like. I can't stress how critical That initial oil measurement on a fuel system that small is. Once you see the graduations on the side of the ratio rite cup, you really start to appreciate how closely just a little more oil can change the ratio radicaly from an optimum 50:1 to a sludgy 40:1 instantly. Throw the old mix out, clean the airfilter, clean the sparkplug (also critical), blast out that tiny carb with a little gumout and then refuel it.
Only then will you be ready to "whip it! whip it good!"
