It's called a "piston soak", we pull the spark plugs and drop about a half once into each cylinder, replace the plugs and let that soak for 30-45 mins. This really concentrates on sticky rings and carboned up piston tops and crowns. You'd be surprised at how much better a car will run when the rings get freed up.

So after the 45min soak with the plugs in do you need to remove them and dry it out or can you just start the car?
