Yeah, you guys have it right! The piston soak I like to leave it over night, you know, really give it a chance to work into that carbon. The reason I recommend the oil change after a soak is that I find most guys simply can't or won't make the effort to measure out a 1/2 oz. per cylinder.
You know who you are! The same guys who think "hey, they're sayin 45 min at 350 degrees here, who's got that kind of time? How about 700 degrees for 15 min"?
Or you can hear them in the grocery store askin "where do you keep the toast".
Hate to see someone spin a bearing because of excess sea foam running past those rings and into the crankcase.
Those mileage numbers really make the shelling out of $7 a can for that stuff come back quickly huh! How did you like the way the car idled after that?
