plugs wont do so much, unless u have a plug or 2 mot sparking. the cheapest and most power efficient changes will be making it breathe better with a better filter/intake and a better muffler. if u wanna go full exhaust thats better but remember, backpressure=torque. no 3 inch pipes lol. lightweight wheels make a huge huge huge difference but a taller tire = slower accelleration.
ijector cleaner is good too.

A new exhaust system on a 1.3 litre little car that will breathe more than enough shouldn't cost you more than $150 if a shop installs it! You guys are nuts! I have done Roush pipes with a magnaflow muffler for less than $300

^^Apart from the U.S$ V the Au$- A decent set of pipes go for between 300 for VERY basic, to around the 1000 if you include a good muffler.
Alot of aftermarket gear costs a hell of alot more in Australia. For Eg:
I have a friend who OWNS one Sydneys biggest suspension shops.
I asked him about the Tien setup from Festiva Motorsports, and he said- 'i can't even get that price from the manufacturer'. He said he couldn't even make a set up for that price?
And that's only the beginning...

I know you probable dont want the exhaust too big, but ive seen a 250cc motorcycle with a thicker tailpipe.

I was thinking of some Iridium spark plugs. Like Denso Iridium power's. Their tip is only 0.4, wide with the u groove. They are still a lil pricy, though
