Does anyone know where I can get Rotor retaining screws and/or what size they are? If I knew a size I would just go down to fastenal or order some nice black oxide and oil coated ones from McMaster.

But I'd like to have something before I drill the old ones out because they are soooo stripped. (Even though I know they really aren't necessary)

I don't think that the cheapo brake pads that were on the car beforehand had the wear noise strip and so I finally heard the problem after metal/metal lol. My commute with the car is 60 miles oneway everyday and I didn't get to the brakes until a couple of days after the noise started, and the now the old rotor is pretty sad. I put new $13 "Standard" o-reilly pads on until the new rotor comes and by the time I got to work the first day after replacing they were smoking.

My caliper may be sticking too... I'm planning on replacing the hoses cuz they are pretty cracked and I gonna put new fluid in and see if it helps the caliper.

On a related note, I just ordered a rotor and some brake hoses through Rockauto.com and noticed that there are quite a few close-out items through AUTOSPECIALTY / KELSEY-HAYES that are priced very cheaply and they don't have core charges.

I should have a discount code to post here in a bit.

Forget that rotor screw, it's like polishing the brass on the titanic.
Think about it, what other "free floating" rotor did you ever work on that had that screw, right! cause once you bolt that wheel down...that screw becomes moot.

The precision is the religion for me!
