yea generally the amp connects directly to your battery and it'll need to be activated via your ignition. So when you turn the key the amp comes on then you simply run the guage wire to your sub. Oh and if you got some 6x9's that are awesome.
yea and dont forget to wire it to your head unit.

got it?

look for the signal wire in the diagram. that is what goes to your amo to turn it on. in the states it is uaually blue, but idk in the aussland. then of course your RCA cables, constant main power and ground.

so you have a dual amp setup? one for ur main speakers and one for your sub? if that is the case one of your amps could be going into protect mode for some reason.

oh wow haha. looks like you have no remote lead? what is "yellow back up B+" also, what RCA do you have going to your amp? a lead from the "subwoofer" or do you have a pair going from a line out?

So RCA connections to the sub. Your amp's not an audioline by any chance?

haha the setup wiring Map looks similar to mine....
I'd have to go and check my amp...

i would try this first, if this being the case you will need to run a wire from the acc(red) power wire to the boot into the remote terminal. this will allow your amp to be switched on at the same time as the head unit.

if you get this far and still have troubles with the sub working make sure all the correct wires are plugged into the correct terminals.

EG: RCA line sub/w output to RCA channel 1, channel 1 output to sub.

and if you are running your rear speakers off the amp as well have the channels for them to.

is one of the channels able to be bridged?(2 into 1?) thus making it a 3 channel amp.

bridge channels1/2 together (+ve from channel 1 and -ve of channel 2) and use them as your output for the sub. the use the last 2 channels to run your speakers.

any of this help?

check the gain and the freq. settings on the amp. make sure all the switches are in there correct position.

unplug one of the rear speakers from the amp and plug in the sub to that channel and see if the sub still works..... if it does then it has something to do with the amp..
